We've officially entered the holiday season at Windy Ridge, Ltd.! After participating in the JuniorLeague of Wichita's Holiday Galleria October 4-7 and the Junior League of Kansas City's Holiday Mart October 22-26, 2009, we hosted a very busy Holiday Open House this past weekend! We're decked in garland and glitter from head to toe...literally!
We were delighted to greet old and new friends who traveled in from surprising distances to visit the shop during our Open House. Thanks to all of you for making over event such fun!
Alicia and I will be traveling to Des Moines next week to participate in the Junior League's Holiday Gift Mart November 19-21! We are so excited to spend time in this great midwestern meet city and meet those of you who will attend.
During our open house we introducedd new merchandise and food items. A couple I'd like to mention in particular are the Mixture Candles and the Elsie Grace Pie Mixes.
Mixture Candles--we're featuring three fragrances for the season: Holiday Seduction, Holiday Cheer and Holiday Frost--delightful fragrances that embody the spirit of the season...cinnamon and berry, evergreen and peppermint. These 2 oz. shot glass votives literally flew of the shelves so be sure to check them out the next time you visit Windy Ridge, Ltd. We're also featuring room spray in Holiday Cheer so the fresh smell of evergreen can envelope your home even if you prefer permanent greenery over the real thing!
Our Elsie Grace cream and lemon pie mixes are perfect addition to your pantry this holiday season. The delicious and flaky no-roll pie crust mix takes the hassle out of baking and the cream pie filling allows you to mix in whatever flavor you so choose! Another huge hit during the Open House! I had t o re-order after the first day!

A View From Windy Ridge!
Welcome to our new blog site! We're very excited to enter into the social networking arena with you and hope you'll find our new site interesting, entertaining and informative. Our goal is to provide helpful tips for enhancing your living environment, clever ideas for entertaining family and friends, and to offer gift suggestions as well as and quick and delicious recipes using our featured gourmet food products.
I've just returned from a buying trip in Atlanta and am so excited by the great selection of merchandise soon to arrive at Windy Ridge! I'll be posting some photos in the next couple of days, but in the meantime I'll tell you about a few things!
Handbags galore! They've arrived and are receiving a wonderful reception from our customers. A large assortment of styles in fabulous colors, some with dazzling bling, some on the more conservative side. These bags are made of butter-soft leather or embossed patent leather, and some have matching wallets! You'll need to see for yourself! These terrific bags are very reasonably priced and you're sure to find one that suits your fancy!
Fabulous fall finishings for your home! From wreaths to garlands to floral bunches, we've ordered a wide variety of beautiful trimmings to take you into the pageantry of fall. Hosted by the Junior League of Wichita, over 100 vendors will display their goods in the Century II Expo Hall in downtown Wichita.
